Terms of Use

Welcome. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Torah-content platform operated by the Institute for Jewish Continuity (“IJC,” “we,” “us”) featuring the classes of Rabbi Shmuel Silber. By using the platform or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using the platform.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or its data.
• Scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute content except as expressly permitted.
• Misuse the AI “Ask” assistant to generate unlawful, abusive, or deceptive content, or to evade usage limits.
• Upload malicious code or use the platform to harass others.

Content and intellectual property

The shiurim, transcripts, source sheets, text, and other materials on the platform are the property of the Institute for Jewish Continuity and Rabbi Shmuel Silber, or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Videos are hosted on YouTube and remain subject to YouTube’s terms. You may view, listen to, and share links to the content for personal, non-commercial Torah study. Any other use — including reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use — requires our prior written permission.

Donations, sponsorships, and payments

Donations and sponsorships are processed by Stripe and are, unless we state otherwise, voluntary and non-refundable. Recurring sponsorships and any paid features continue until you cancel. Where a donation is tax-deductible, we will provide an appropriate receipt. Dedications and sponsorship messages you submit must be lawful and respectful; we may decline or remove text at our discretion.

AI assistant disclaimer

The “Ask” assistant generates answers automatically from our content and may be incomplete or inaccurate. It is a study aid, not a substitute for the original shiurim or for a p’sak halacha. Do not rely on it for practical halachic, legal, financial, or medical decisions; consult a qualified authority.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IJC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe risks harm to the platform or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
